North central King William County in east central Virginia…

* Until 1115 PM EDT Thursday.

* At 945 PM EDT, water levels along portions of the Mattaponi River
are slowly starting to fall. The river level at the gauge near
Beulahville is reading 15.6 feet as of 830 pm EDT Wednesday.
Flooding begins at 14.0 feet. Expect flooding to continue as the
crest will be very slow to move down river over the next few days,
with water levels returning to more normal levels late this week.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Beulahville.

* At 14 feet…Flood stage. Spring Cottage Road (Virginia highway
628) in Newville is impacted due to back water.

Instruction: Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
