* At 1141 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rainfall.
Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in
the advisory area. Latest reports indicate between three and four
inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Newport News, Hampton, Hampton University, Langley AFB, Christopher
Newport University, Patrick Henry Field, Seaford, Northampton,
Buckroe Beach, Grand View, Denbigh, Tabb, Fort Monroe, Beaconsdale,
Fort Eustis, Oriana, Hilton Village, Oyster Point, Messick and
Hornsbyville.

Instruction: Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
