Description: PATCHY FOG IS DEVELOPING ACROSS PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND EASTERN
VIRGINIA. VISIBILITIES ARE HIGHLY VARIABLE DUE TO THE PATCHY
NATURE OF THE FOG…BUT OVERALL RANGE FROM ONE HALF MILE TO 2
MILES. SOME LOW LYING RURAL AREAS MAY HAVE VISIBILITIES
DETERIORATE DOWN TO ONE QUARTER MILE AT TIMES. EXPECT THE FOG TO
PERSIST OVERNIGHT THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS OF FRIDAY. A
DENSE FOG ADVISORY HAS ALREADY BEEN ISSUED FOR MUCH OF SOUTHERN
VIRGINIA…AND IF THE FOG BECOMES MORE DENSE AND WIDESPREAD INTO
CENTRAL AND EASTERN VIRGINIA…A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MAY BE NEEDED.

MOTORISTS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR SUDDEN CHANGES IN VISIBILITY DUE TO
THE AREAS OF DENSE FOG. DRIVE AT REDUCED SPEEDS AND USE LOW BEAM
HEADLIGHTS ONLY.
