Northwestern Northumberland County in eastern Virginia…
Northern Richmond County in east central Virginia…
Westmoreland County in east central Virginia…

* Until 530 PM EDT.

* At 229 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Two to three inches of rain have already fallen across portions of
the advisory area. Use extra caution and remain aware of ponding
of water on roadways if traveling in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Colonial Beach, Montross, Kinsale, Coles Point, Hague,
Westmoreland, Lerty, Currioman Landing, Potomac Beach, Oak Grove,
Mount Holly, Oldhams, Stratford Hall, Potomac Mills, Gibeon, Erica,
Kremlin, Westmoreland State, Templeman and Foneswood.

Additional rainfall of up to two inches is expected over the area.
This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
Instruction: Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
