Description: * WHAT…3 to 5 inches of snow expected. A light glaze of ice
possible in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

* WHERE…Portions of northern Virginia.

* WHEN…From 10 AM Sunday to 2 AM EST Monday. Snow will
overspread the area between 9 AM and 11 AM Sunday morning.
Snow will mix with sleet and rain between 3 PM and 5 PM Sunday
afternoon and the wintry mix will continue into Sunday night
before precipitation ends. Rain may freeze on some surfaces,
especially along the ridges of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The
heaviest snow is expected between noon and 3 PM Sunday, with
snowfall rates around one inch per hour expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on snow covered and slippery roads
that may make travel difficult.

Instruction: A Winter Weather Advisory means periods of wintry precipitation
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

When venturing outside, watch your first few steps taken on
steps, sidewalks, and driveways, which could be icy and slippery,
increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
