Southeastern Fauquier County in northern Virginia…

* Until 515 AM EDT Sunday.

* At 1046 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated rainfall amounts of 2 to 6
inches across most of the warned area. The heaviest rainfall has
ended, but creeks and streams continue to rise from the rainfall
this evening. The Virginia Department of Highways reported that
Sowego Road near Elk Road was closed due to high water.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include…
Warrenton, New Baltimore, Nokesville, Catlett, Calverton, Midland,
Broken Hill, Auburn, Casanova, Somerville and Bristersburg.

Instruction: Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
