Description: An arctic airmass has spread across central and southeast
Virginia and northeast North Carolina this evening. Temperatures
are expected to fall into the mid teens to low 20s by midnight,
with lows by New Years Morning ranging from 10 to 15 degrees
across central and south central Virginia, to 15 to 20 degrees
across far southeast Virginia and northeast North Carolina. A
north wind of 5 to 15 mph will result in wind chill values of 0 to
10 degrees above zero from late this evening through New Years
Morning.

Frostbite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken.
Make sure you dress in multiple layers and wear a hat and gloves.
