Description: At 447 PM EDT, NWS doppler radar indicated a cluster of showers and
thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall. These showers and storms
were located along a line extending from near Seaford to near Tabb
to Fort Eustis. Movement was east at 20 mph.

Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible with these showers.

Locations impacted include…
Newport News, Hampton, Hampton University, Langley AFB, Christopher
Newport University, Patrick Henry Field, Virginia Institute For
Marine Sciences, Seaford, Gloucester Point, Northampton, Busch
Gardens, Buckroe Beach, Wicomico, Achilles, Grand View, Lee Hall,
Denbigh, Tabb, Grove and Fort Monroe.

Motorists should use extra caution in the vicinity of these showers.
Be prepared for rapid changes in weather and road conditions. Heavy
rain could cause ponding of water on roads…and possible minor
flooding of ditches and poor drainage areas.
